It’s time for the next release of webmate 2026.3.0.

First Iteration of the Marketplace: An initial version of the Marketplace is now available. It forms the foundation for the future provisioning and management of additional extensions and integrations.
Quality Scoring: Test results are summarized using a standardized quality score. This makes it easier to assess the quality of an application and compare its development across multiple test runs.
Updated Device View: The device view has been redesigned and now provides a clearer and more structured overview of mobile devices.

Standalone Workbench: The Workbench can now be accessed independently from deployed devices, providing a more flexible and direct way to access its other key features.
Upload Custom Screenshots: Users can upload their own screenshots directly to the Workbench and use them for testing, comparisons, or analysis.
Faster Start of Automation Sessions: Automation sessions are now provisioned more quickly. This reduces waiting times before automated tests begin and enables more efficient use of testing resources.

Headless Browser Console: You can now deploy headless browsers directly within the Workbench, giving you faster access to Browser Sessions for both automated and manual testing without having to deploy a full virtual machine first.
Browser Release 2026.7.0 has been completed.

A11y Mobile Automation: Automated accessibility checks are now also available on mobile devices. They make it easier to identify potential barriers and support the improvement of an application’s digital accessibility.
Advanced Controls for Mobile Devices: Advanced mobile device control via the webmate SDK has been added. The Advanced Controls enable enhanced iOS input using the keyboard, pointer mode, and customizable buttons. They allow you to control VoiceOver, simulate gestures such as pinch and rotate, and adjust pointer speed for more realistic accessibility and input testing.
Improved Audio Streaming Stability: Audio streaming has been stabilized, reducing interruptions and providing more reliable and consistent audio transmission from mobile devices.
Another requested mobile-device configuration set has been prepared for customer testing.

Quality Sense is webmate’s sixth sense, giving you greater confidence in the status of your tests. It automatically displays warnings in the Workbench whenever webmate detects issues such as console errors, failed network requests, or violated requirements.
