webmate Workbench
webmate Workbench is the integrated testing environment (ITE) for manual and assisted testing on the webmate platform.
It combines features for accessing, managing and using testing infrastructure with interactive testing tools and issue reporting/documentation.
Toggle Mobile View & Toggle Desktop View
Start by deploying either mobile or desktop devices in Toggle Mobile View or Toggle Desktop View respectively, and navigate to your app or website on the respective mobile or desktop environment.
For example, we choose a browser and click on desktop icon to start our simulation.

Accessibility Tools and Auditing
Please refer to the article on accessibility testing for more information on this.
Device Tools
Device Rotation
The Rotate button allows you to change the orientation of the device between portrait and landscape. For screens that do not support rotation (such as the iOS home screen), the button displays an icon indicating the orientation that will be applied when an app is opened. If the current device orientation differs from the expected orientation, the button is highlighted in yellow. This also occurs when the screen is turned off, providing a clear visual indication that the displayed state does not match the active or default device orientation.

Take a screenshot and tools for Interactive testing
The top-bar buttons let you take screenshots and access interactive testing tools to validate different aspects of your app. These tools support features such as device location simulation, network bandwidth simulation, saving images to the Android Gallery, biometric authentication simulation, and camera image simulation.
For more details, see our Take screenshots and Simulation Features articles.

DevTools
You can use DevTools to open the inspector and make real-time changes while testing. More details about the tool can be found in our DevTools article.

Gesture metrics
Gesture metrics help quantify the time required to perform gestures on a device, such as taps, drags, and swipes, measured in seconds.

Allow Automation
You can enable automated mobile testing with Appium by clicking the Allow Automation button. This opens the Appium Inspector, which you can configure and start. You can enable or block automation depending on your project requirements.
